"Show topics with new posts within the last <blank>" HELP
Ok, it seems like my Show topics with new posts within the last ... is different for each forum... 2 days, a week, 3 months... it used to be ok to just change each one every time (since I'm usually here about every other day I need to change them to see all new posts).
However, recently, whenever I change one, it marks all of my posts read! So it makes it really difficult to see what is new and what I have already read.
How do I set a default time frame so I don't have to keep changing it?

It tells you whether a topic is read or is new? How can you tell?  (Sorry if that's a dumb question)

I tried to set mine but it seems the change back to some sort of default and its different for all forums.
I dont kow why!!

this happens to me all the time. It's so annoying.
I wish there was a way we could mark all posts read - either globally or in a particular forum.

How do you tell if a thread has been read or not? All mine look the same, read or not.

The envelope with the star means there is unread posts. The envelope without the star means there are no unread/new posts. There is no way to mark forums read or unread or to go to the first unread post in a topic - I assume that is because of the software they use.

For me, the envelopes always have a star, whether read or unread. Oh well!
